Agreed. I think he's a self-publicist, but he's not a liar. That's a very unfair accusation. I think he has knowingly misled people out of ego, for example adamatly saying we were not in breach during the last PSR accounting period just days before we were charged (knowing full well that people simply wanted to know if we were going to be hit again, not whether we would be exonerated months later). He's also been fantastically wrong about Kroenke buying Usmanov's shares. He seemed in complete denial that Usmanov could have anything to do with Everton. Bizarrely, he named a date for Bill Kenwright's departure last June when any fool knew - such as this one - that he would only depart in a box. But, to his credit, he has been a consistent critic of what has been a disastrous regime at Everton. He can be supercilious and pious, but I think he loves the club (even more than he loves the limelight). I was sorry to hear of his health scare last year and am pleased he seems to be back on his feet. That's an unfair accusation.
He nailed colours to the mast in the past and it's not turned out as predicted, but I don't think he's set out knowingly misleading peaple.
The only reason the errors are blown up is because of his online presence. If a person with 50 followers said it, nobody would care.
Personally, I listen to his pods, I read his blog posts and occasionally check his Twitter. Some I'll agree with, some have me scratching my head.
As with everything else online, I'll take most of it onboard with an air of caution. Nobody is right (or wrong!) all the time.
