True that I'm lacking in the local perspective. May I ask a loaded question? How do Ev fans reconcile Rafael as a Lfc manager with his work towards the JFT97 and representing the city? Is there respect for him as an individual that loves where he lives? Anything you're willing to share would be appreciated.

Not trying to put him on a pedestal. He's cold as ice on the exterior, but I think that gets in the way of how he's seen by both sides of town.

Benitez lives 10 minutes away from me, in a massive 20 million pound mansion in Caldy. (Wirral)

LFC fans try to peddle the myth that 'he loves the city, because he and his family live here'

You seem to have fallen for this one as well.

Not true, but another example of how your club loves to disseminate a false and romanticised worldview.

I would say 80% of Evertonian's did not want him, but who else would come here?

Here's a pic of Rafael's council house on Breck Road.

... and this is why I come here, to gain a local perspective not clouded by red-tinted glasses. No denying Lfc loves to romanticize their history. As far a falsifying goes, I was a history student, and have learned to never trust a single viewpoint as they are biased as all hell. Thanks for giving me yours, as every viewpoint helps fill in the blanks to create the whole picture.

So you're admitting that you know where he liveslol
Is your bed missing any sheets?

Hey, if anyone wants to pat me on the head, look up the Vancouver Canucks and their 51 year journey of ineptitude. Still a fan.

And for the record, I was a CB for 14 years. My teams didn't win anything. Who I cheer for doesn't make me who I am.
Flames fan here , live in Calgary don’t like shouting for a team in red and white, but my beloved Everton are doing my head in
