It may be a daft question that somebody else may already have asked, but why come onto an Everton forum if you wish to chat football. Surely it would be far mor suitable to join a Liverpool forum and discuss the team you actually support.

Given that you have been a "lurker" for a while you will know that at least 90% of the members will never accept you, and the other 10% will chase you the second you start to show RS tendencies.

I come to opposing teams forums to get an honest reply. I make accounts on every forum that seems the busiest for each club. Gives me a look at the fans, their issues/concerns, and a more in-depth understanding of the clubs in question.

I don't expect love, or even respect tbh. I try not to litter threads with my opinions, just come to read and reply. Hostility and banter are what I expect, so any positive convos are a pleasant surprise. Plus, I'm already a member of several Lfc echo chambers. Reddit has been my main hangout for sports message boards, but it doesn't capture the majority of fanbases, whereas the club/fan sites give me a much better taste of what I'm looking for.

I'll keep my head down, ears open, and my mouth generally shut. Seems to be working so far.

We welcome and respect fans from all clubs. We just can’t abide RS fans who hide the fact that they are.

A few tips if you wish to survive.

1. Resist the temptation to post obtuse graphs, or pie charts, attempting to prove that Jordan Henderson covers more ground each season, than anyone else in the footballing world.

2. Don't bother moaning that Man City, Chelsea, and now Newcastle have more money than the RS , and this is not fair.

3. Pretend that you know who Bessie Braddock was.

4. Try claiming that Klopp is some kind of nice guy and genius.

1. The last thing I expect is to convince anyone here that JH has anymore value than the **** on the sole of your shoe.

2. Fair? ain't nothing in life fair. Been a red since '81. Hicks and Gilette taught me that.

3. 7,376 km between me and Liverpool. I didn't before, but google is my friend. Much respect to anyone who can represent her people for 40 years.

4. The words shall not pass my keyboard.

Good news for tomorrow, as Stevie G Laaaaaaaaaaaaa, will have Villa rolling over and dying.

Herr Flick (Klopp) will pat him on the head, the 'sporting' Kop will chant his name, because that's what you do.

Expect the Villa match to go much like Wolves, close and intense. Really don't see Villa coming out slowly as the players seem to be onboard with what he's doing.

Half the tourists at Anfield won't even know his song, so expect the Kop to be the source of all the noise.

Apologies for the parochialism, but you have to be born and bred here to understand all things LFC.

This will go a scripted plan, no way will Slippy get anything on Saturday.

PS= Love Canada, Ron Sexsmith, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, KD, and many others.

I will try and be nice to you accordingly.

True that I'm lacking in the local perspective. May I ask a loaded question? How do Ev fans reconcile Rafael as a Lfc manager with his work towards the JFT97 and representing the city? Is there respect for him as an individual that loves where he lives? Anything you're willing to share would be appreciated.

Not trying to put him on a pedestal. He's cold as ice on the exterior, but I think that gets in the way of how he's seen by both sides of town.
