I know it is your belief that all of these types of allegations should only be dealt with in the criminal court system rather than the civil courts or media. They've got (it seems) lots of evidence. I do sort of agree though that it shouldn't be for TV shows (or the wider media) to report on this to the exclusion of the proper authorities.
For a start, its unfair to all involved - the suspects suffer financial and career damage without a controlled way of challenging the allegations, and secondly for the victims it introduces this idea that suspects can pay their way out of allegations which a normal person would get hauled before Court for.
It appears, at least to me, that a purposeful blind eye was turned to the majority of his behaviours, from his handlers point of view at the BBC, because he was a 'shock-jock', a time bomb of infamy, a ratings winner by lowest common denominator. A story, relevant, in the press, on the news, the flag carrier.
What price the nations attention?
If he is eventually found guilty, I want the victims dealt with first, supported and helped past the trauma. Then I want significant safeguarding in the workplace around celebrities so that young and vulnerable potential victims can be protected from the limelight. So to speak. If brand has done any of the things he's alleged to, he cops the same sentence any other offender would. Again with this, part of imprisonment is time served, reflection and rehabilitation. If he’s done any of the things he’s accused of, put him away and throw away the key……
I don’t think it’s that straight forward. Not yet anyway. If he’s done any of the things he’s accused of, put him away and throw away the key……

I suspect there will be an avalanche of allegations from here now the first trickles of snow (haha) have burst...

Not with the current energy prices..Ok, so it’s the electric chair then…..
You'd hope that in 2023 staff know not do this type of stuff and to report to their managers those celebrities who asked them to do so but a regular reminder would seem a fairly simple step.If he is eventually found guilty, I want the victims dealt with first, supported and helped past the trauma. schofield has already gone down in flames. I suspect it is highly prevalent. You'd hope that in 2023 staff know not do this type of stuff and to report to their managers those celebrities who asked them to do so but a regular reminder would seem a fairly simple step.
"During the early years of Brand’s TV career as a Channel 4 presenter, there were repeated incidents which raise questions about his interactions with young women while working for them.
TV researchers and runners who worked on Channel 4 shows during this period allege that Brand would get staff to approach young female audience members so he could meet them after filming.
Two former crew members, working on Big Brother’s EFourum, a live spin-off debate show presented by Brand that would become Big Brother’s Big Mouth, separately claim this made them feel like they were working as a “pimp” for Brand."
