Sadly the only thing I am surprised by is we managed to get to page 26 before someone posted that sort of vomment.

I suppose on the plus side it is a sign of progress and the impact of the #metoo movement- in the 2000s/2010s when these assaults were reported to have taken place that mentality would have been far more prevalent.

Which such posters might want to consider before they trot out “why didn’t they report it to police at the time”.

Until there's a male equivalence (certainly not decrying male rape and sexual assault, that is an abhorrence in itself), that is steeped in culture, ignorance of process, regularity and disregard, then I'm afraid those comments and attitudes will continue.
Most women I know would, I assume, have experienced some form of sexual exertion. Those experiences need to be used to educate sons on appropriate behaviour and respect, and daughters too to protect themselves. Changing the way males think and behave towards someone else's sister, mother, grandmother, is the only process that could make a difference imho.
It's too slow a process to be 'organic'.
