A list UK celeb in trouble

Can I just ask a pertinent question BTW...
As it's now the heat of the battle and all the Gammon's are tripping over themselves to blame the BBC just in case these 'allegations' prove to be true and all of the very worst elements of Trumpite mouthbreathers have told us that 'big Pharma' are behind this witch hunt against a good and upstanding right wing flat earther,......
Was Brand ever actually a poster boy for or ever accepted by the LEFT for anything other than a misogynist, flash Harry caricature?
I'm on the left, the real left, not some modern day bastardisation of what was once 'the left and I've always utterly despised him as a manipulative, lairy loud mouthed chancer.
BUT, apparently, at some point, before he strategically moved himself in bed with the likes of Tucker Himmler, Musk, Rogan, Hartley-Wasp Chewer and the rest of the absolute rancid abominations, he was the 'darling of the 'left'? Has this ever actually been a thing?
From my own point of view, I would've gladly kicked his balls through the top of his head at any point over the last 20 years.
lol

Interesting podcast episode - Pod Save The UK - with Nish Kumar talking about Brand allegations.

Describes it as an open secret on the comedy circuit, which nobody talked about publicly for fear of getting sued.

Said that from about 2018 all Brand’s UK based work dried up, as people started refusing to appear on shows with him, hence him doing US based stuff, or self produced podcast work. The catalyst seems to be Katherine Ryan calling him out on some show, although her comments didn’t make the edit, but as they were said on a studio floor, it became common knowledge in the industry.

Telling that colleagues working in his industry seem entirely unsurprised by the allegations.
I haven't bothered to listen to his recent comments - has he threatened to sue Channel 4 or the Telegraph over the allegations?

I'd assume that their lawyers have been over everything with a fine tooth comb mind so I doubt there is any point but I'm slightly surprised if he hasn't blustered about doing it.

For a 'man' who reportedly loved to use legal threats to cover his crimes his silence on the matter is deafening.

Nah. Today’s YouTube vid was “big tech”, “government censorship”, and then begging people to follow him to the Rumble platform (cos he’s still monetised there).

Of course this is what disappoints Musk, not the allegations themselves but that Twitter cannot make money off them.

Musk last night responded to a user who shared Brand's video, making no reference to the awful array of allegations facing him, and said: 'It is rather disappointing that he is exclusively pushing Rumble when X has supported free speech just as much.'

It marks a significant change from the billionaire businessman, who previously appeared to voice his support for Brand.

Responding to the comic's claims that the allegations against him were a result of a campaign to silence him, Musk said: 'Of course, they don't like competition.'

Get down the bookies quick, who turns turtle next? tate? barrymore? weinstein?....

charlatans each to a so considered man.

Nothing pisses these people off more than losing money

I think it's just a general "I'm innocent innit and everyone who knows me knows I'm innocent innit and any slaaaaaag that says I ain't gets Krayed innit" so far mate.
Given the fact that just about everyone apart from the Covid deniers (and Tommy Yaxley-Statue Protector and his tribe of short necked criminals are supporting him, plus the Himmlers on Fox) are laughing at him and going "Oh look he's making loud statements about being silenced"....I'd say his solicitors are probably in the background saying "I'd keep your head down if I was you soft lad".
So no, he hasn't threatened suing yet, just vehemently denying everything. I'm fully expecting a podcast on Monday saying he's a Eunuch and he hasn't left the house since 1993, hes never met Katy Perry and actually supports Chelsea.

I think, just for balance, I should add some context to my replies in this thread.
This is the first series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet.....Brand is Wayne and I'm Oz.
Whether he's bang to rights or not....in the words of Oz "Ah just divn't like Cockneys".
Which I know is a general stereotype that doesn't bear close scrutiny, but he's a lairy, loudmouthed scruffy, Cockney tit and just the clip of him makes me grind my teeth together.

Sorry mate I didn't actually look at any of your other posts, I'm multitasking poorly whilst watching MOTD.
No problem mate, I realise that my bigoted and regional stereotyping is unhelpful, bigoted and mindless. It's just that I really do dislike lairy, mouthy Cockneys.
Subjective as it was and is, I just put it out there for the righteous scorn and ridicule it deserves.
