I have never thought the DoF model has ever worked anywhere and the manager should always have the final say.
Very few managers do not work with a DoF.
Mind you , in my opinion I’ve never thought the manager system works to be honest, much prefer the old tried and trusted Selection Committee system.
Leave the manager to do what they do best physical training , and getting the first round in after a victory !

I read Dyche putting Keane on upfront for the last 60 seconds rather than Danjuma yesterday as a message to Thelwell to not go signing players that don't have his approval.

I'm sure Dyche has referenced this in an interview/press conference at some point this season too. Something along the lines of, 'the club can sign who they want, doesn't mean I'll play them.'

With our failing DoF publicly stating in the PL hearing that we have a new transfer strategy of “buying young and developing” how do people think this will go down with the gaffer??

Will the gaffer prefer more experienced heads to balance the ship, or will he be in sync with the club and happily accept younger legs for older heads.

With rumours of Josh Brownhill and Charlie Taylor as possible targets, has the gaffer won ownership of the team over Kev Thelwell??
Is he allowed to do both?

He's given the likes of Branthwaite, Onana, Garner plenty of gametime, while some believe not enough to Dobbin, Chermiti, Patterson etc

While at the same time has played 'elder' players a fair bit too.

You cant have a team full of kids, you cant play a team full of 'experience'.
Sometimes you play the hand you are dealt!

I'd imagine Stan Mills might of got some minutes this second half of the season if he wasn't injured.
