Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

Very hit and miss. Could be a flop but he's on loan and there's nothing to lose.

We need a winger and we've got one. Will do until the summer if nothing else.

Acquisitions don't work that way - we might be similar overall but Spurs have strengths in areas we do not, and vice versa.

Not saying Lennon is great (he's the opposite in fact), but just because he couldn't get in the Spurs side doesn't mean he can't do a job for us.

The fact the last time he did a "job" at all for anyone was in about 2009 is the main concern. Lennon at his best? Yeah, I'd take him all day long, as he'd be a danger off the bench if nothing else. But Lennon as he's been for the last half a decade? Grim.

Calculated gamble on loan I feel, but wouldn't be surprised if he got the Atsu treatment if he turns up at FF and performs as he has done for quite some time now.

Yeah fair enough but seems very underwhelming overall as I don't seem him as an improvement on what's there but that's the ball park we play in these days I suppose

Don't call folk helmets
You mean the ones on loan? Signing lennon just screams step back, I'm pretty sure there are other players available

Get on the phone to the club mate quick, Stop wasting your time on here when you could be giving Martinez some tips on transfer targets and tactics you massive helmet

How is it Kenwright, it's Martinez that has identified the target? You can blame Kenwright for a lot of things, but going over the managers head to sign players isn't one of them.

Well, there is of course the argument that we had other targets for wide players but couldn't negotiate a fee that the club was willing to pay for said target. And Lennon on loan was a last resort, which makes sense considering we've left it till the 11th hour.

It might not necessarily be Kenwright's or Martinez's fault if the money just isn't there.

But then, that point could also be used against Kenwright and the board.
