Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

Sinclair hasn't played on a regular basis for over two years, even struggling to hold down a position at West Brom.

He looked a good talent when at Swansea although hasn't shown much since. Possibly more potential and ability, but Lennon is a safer bet.

'Struggling to hold down a place at West Brom' ? He played his first game for them last weekend and did one or two good things for a team that got battered. He looked like he would be OK when match fit. I mentioned Sinclair in another thread, but I prefer that we have Lennon. He might surprise a few people. Like Naismith.

I think you mean he played his first game for Aston Villa last weekend. West Brom was last season and he struggled to get a game.

West Midlands clubs are all the same aye?

Naismith surprises me sometimes in the fact that he's a footballer.

Well, yes! But he looked OK in a poor side last weekend. Do you honestly think theres much difference between Villa and West Brom at present?;)

I don't have a problem with giving the lad a go, the only issue I have with the situation is it shows a lack of imagination.

Martinez only signs players who i) everyone in the world already knows about (Barry, Lukaku, Eto'o, McGeady, Lennon) or ii) played for him at Wigan (Alcaraz, Kone, Robles, McCarthy). Besic is the only exception so far. I don't think we have scouts anymore.

That's a completely different question entirely. They're both pretty poor and I wouldn't miss either. However, this is about Sinclair not the clubs.

He may have played well at the weekend, however I would be more concerned why he hasn't featured for so long.

Only with game time will we know if he'd have been a sensible option (where we've missed out) or we've been sensible not going for him.

The likes of Downing and Sigurðsson have shown that sometimes a player just needs the opportunities. Others have just not been up to it.
