I'm pleased we signed him. In the modern football world £4.5m is absolute peanuts. To put that in perspective a little Bournemouth have today signed a 31 year old Glenn Murray for £4m, and Sunderland have signed Borini for £8-£10m.

We can't go wrong with this transfer. At the absolute worst he's a good back up in place of McGeady. At best he could repeat his form from last season and become one of our more important players.

People always whinge that Martinez doesn't play Mirallas and Deulofeu together, but a side with those two in lacks balance. They're both all out attacking wingers and they limit the effectiveness of our full backs, and also leave us open. And before someone pipes up with the "HE DOESN'T PLAY ANY WINGERS THOUGH", I believe that neither Mirallas or Deulofeu have been fully fit so far this season.

Such a well written post like that though is wasted on you utter rock throwing neanderthals, though. I'd like my 5 minutes back please.

Thoroughly looking forward to seeing my favourite feature of the second half of last season, which was him zooming back up the entirety of the pitch to get right up the backside of any opposing players on his flank. Looked like the most annoying thing in the world for them, you could almost see them thinking 'where the [Poor language removed] did he come from?!'. Absolutely priceless.

To put it into perspective, it's roughly the amount Funes Mori's fee rose by while we were busy fluffing the paperwork.

I'm sorry to all those who thin

to all those who think/hope Lennon is just going to be some kind of random league cup option you are sorely mistaken. This player is going to start week in week out just as Barry and Cleverly have been unacceptably shoe horned in
Do you ever stop whinging?

Barry shoe horned into his natural position?
Cleverleys form has been great.
Lennon played very well last season and brings the best out of Coleman.

So what's "unacceptable"?

Kind of thought he may be a loan like Barry was. Pay a couple of million if we sign him on a permanent and would prevent him playing against spurs this season. Happy to have him and it would be sweet if he does pop up with a match winning contribution against spurs just so he can give pochettino the 2 fingers!

He was good for us last season and I hope he hits the ground at his incredibly fast running. He showed people last season about his lack of "end product" with a couple of important goals, AND got assists AND got us penalties. Last season wasn't exactly ideal but he was a shining light of effort and effectiveness within it. V chuffed we signed him
