Absolute no brainer really. He's worth much than the fee which only reflects that he had one season left on his Spurs contract.

Did enough last season to earn this contract and now that it is permanent he can be regarded as a proper Blue.

Just hope he can continue to show the form of last season and not get complacent.

We now plenty of options in wide areas, let's hope they are frequently used.

Indeed Prev. At least Barkley hasn't been put out wide yet this season - hopefully we've seen the end of that. But he knows that Lukaku operates better with another striker on the pitch so unless he drastically changes the formation it looks like the best we can hope for is only one wideman.

More likely because the amount of players they brought in with the Bale money to be fair, Chadli, Lamela and Eriksen all play wide right/left.

I am not sure why the Spurs manager doesn't like him but the Spurs supporter's certainly had good time for him. I don't think I have seen one negative thing said about him.
I think people feel underwhelmed by his signing
because we all knew it was going to happen. It was always going to be on the last day as well.
When he was signed in January there was a bigger response then and he did very well I thought but it wasn't a wow signing and we all love those.

But a very good addition nonetheless.

My boss is a Spurs fan and he is absolutely livid with the way Lennon has been dealt by Spurs. He really rates Lennon and even on off days will run his heart out and do his defensive duties. Good signing for the price i think. People are more down on this transfer because of pretty much the promise of an exotic number 10 by Roberto which has not materialized.

If Mirallas were to play up front you still have Deulofeu, Lennon, Pienaar, McGeady

I think the reason Barkley ends up playing out wide is because the manager doesn't want to drop him but doesn't fully trust him as a midfielder. I'd like to see him tried more often beside McCarthy and let him learn.

Fell out with Kane after a home defeat I believe. Questioned his commitment and as he was the new star of the club Aaron found himself frozen out. That was what I heard from my Spurs supporting friends.
