If you actually read down the comments, apart from the odd Everton fan tweeting, there are a actually lot of begrudging compliments to the business we're doing. I get the impression they have quite liked signing Doucoure themselves.

May be the least glamorous of the 3 but I feel in terms of what we're lacking the most important.

Really happy with this one, given a fee of £20m. He won't need any adjustment time and will slot straight in I'd have thought.

If we play Allan and Doucoure in a 2, I think they'd complement each other really well.

Having a player like Allan alongside Doucoure would give the latter licence to drive forward with the ball and make runs into the box as he likes to. Meanwhile, Doucoure taking on a lot of the offensive work would allow Allan to sit deeper and just volley anyone who gets close to our box.

And they can both play. One thing that people seem to say about Allan is that besides his defensive qualities, he has a great touch and passing range.
