Doucoure and Allan can both press high up the pitch, and are very good at it.

My guess is that Ancelotti asks Allan to sit more (as he did when managing Napoli) and Doucoure presses with Allan mopping up. Bit of a partnership in that regard.

Those two i think will be fabulous in a 442.

I meme with the Donkeree, a stance I will be maintaining, but the fella is a big unit and a very decent attacking unit.

I know people are Anti-Andre but a midfield of Gomo, Donkeree and Allan ON PAPER, is up there for me, of course it all depends if they can make it work.

From when I've seen him play, he's been effective at winning back the ball and moving forward: more of a tackler than someone who was always pressing.

There were others who blamed him for them going down but it seemed like a very vocal minority imo.

Of course they would.

Everton were partly responsible for ruining their 2017-18 season (Silva fiasco).
Then we took the most promising attacking midfielder they've ever had in Richarlison.
Now we are taking their best defensive midfielder they've ever had (who they wrongly played further upfield).

They're naturally going to despise Everton. And I don't blame them. We collectively despised Man City for a few years after they took Lescott and ruined one of our seasons. But them being southerners, I'm sure their grudge will last decades.

Richarlison scored a goal every 8 games for Watford. In a very poor Watford side. A lot of Watford fans were saying how overated he was when he was going to us. Yet, he comes to one of the poorest Everton teams in over a decade and scores a goal every 2.7 games.

Doucoure will naturally play better with better players around him if he comes to us. I'm confident that we will only improve. Plus he will be used right as he now (and we) have a proper manager who actually plays players in their correct position.
