Wouldn't be surprised if we didn't last season. Problem we have this season is we need 15 new midfielders and Brands has got to the letter D in his scout book and up came Doucoure

Gets round the pitch phenomenally well to break up play and can then drive forward, even getting a few goals as well. Technically not up there with the very best but that’s inevitable with his go go gadget legs. You can’t have everything, unless you’re Pogba who comes close. Should compliment your other midfielders like Gomes (although no idea how he’s played since coming back).”

Need a midfield revamp ASAP and Allan and Doucouré are probably the least risky options for giving us improvements from the onset.

Yes Santamaria and Sangare might present value for money but they are a massive risk if we need them to come in and do a job straight away.

I honestly think our current midfield could take us down/have us in a relegation battle so it’s definitely not somewhere we can mess up.

He would be great business at £25mil.

A midfield three of Allan Gomes Doucoure would be an extraordinary difference from the Siggurdson and Davies combo that we trot out regularly.

You need to be patient with ths one. This has all the potential of being an absolute mega fume in 12 months, like Iwobi but more. Obviously I hope not, but Sigurdsson & Doucoure playing for a 13th place Everton next March will cause some level of anger!
