I think we miss James more than Doucouré. We need clever passes forward, Doucouré does not have that in his game

I get your point - but tbf he was in that first half v United when we were worse than this.

A midfield with Gomes and Sigurdsson isn’t getting us into Europe though / hope Davies and Allan can stay fit.

Need to get another midfielder at least in the Summer who can get around the pitch a bit
 

I am wondering if we'll find out tonight from ancelotti or we'll have to wait unitil the next press conference on friday to know the extent of his injury
 
Doucoure is a great runner with a tireless engine. He can get the ball, charge forward 30 yards and the whole block moves up with him. As a defender having him in front of you us just top notch.
As much as James can and does unlock the opponent’s defense, he can’t do what the Douc does again and again in matches.

Both on the pitch tonight would have made a huge difference.

But Tuchel has got Chelsea ticking like a Tag Heuer. Different class tonight.
