Thought he was awful today.

But for me, he’s been dead on his feet now for the last 30 against villa, all of Sheffield Utd and the 60 mins he played today.

Happy he’s back, but he’s not match fit... still more effective than Gomes mind!

However, it's undeniable that generally this season he's been poor except for his first few games.

Well, that's just completely wrong. He actually took a while to get going and hit his best form while Allan was out.

Clearly not match fit. He has come back a little too early for the good of the team. It's a pity some of our other heroes don't have the same attitude.

Good attitude good grafter.
But i look at other sides and they have good grafters who can play. Passing. Carrying the ball.
I could post this in any of the everton midfielder threads tbh.
We need better quality through the whole midfield. As honest a grafter as he is.

Honestly think this guy does the work of two midfielders. Just watch him, the way he fills in defence and is there in attack. He’s so mobile and covers the entire pitch.
Gets some more legs like him in the side and watch us go.
