Brings tremendous energy and a perfect balance to the midfield, happy to seamlessly slot in to cover for the overlapping fullbacks and always a willing runner (with or without to ball) to link defence and attack - the perfect foil for Allan, worth his weight in gold

Im not saying I don’t think it will work, just it’s a big drop in quality. I think it will do for now against Brighton. Not even sure if Delph has it in him to play 2 games in one week anymore.

Really impressed the way he took complete control of the midfield when he came on as west ham had some momentum , took the game away from them
