Got the run around big time today. It's harsh because they are an unbelievable team but this is the standard we should want to measure ourselves against.

Seems to be covering too much for James defensively. Would love him to be pushed further forward and bring Delph/Davies into midfield instead of Gomes to do the defensive covering

Worked really hard today which was great but lacked a bit of quality truth be told. Think the steamrollering of our midfield needs to act as a bit of an eye opener as to just where they are in the grand scheme of things.

Yep agree.

Allan was poor in the first half. I've noticed, mainly in the home games so far, he's had a tendency to dive in early and that left us exposed.

He really improved after the break though.

I do think we saw how much the game opened up when Doucoure went off and Iwobi came on, though. Because for the first 25 mins of the second half, bar that early Henderson shot, we had control.

Yeah I felt taking him off was the right the call and then as soon as we equalised I was wishing we could bring him back on. Agree on Allan too, he’s very good, but he’s a little ill disciplined at times. I’m sure he’ll adapt soon.

Yeah, think that's just his game. He's not really a natural sitter.

Ironically enough, he's probably better in Doucoure's role really (like he played in v West Ham).

But he's doing a brilliant job on the whole and is better than anyone else we have there.

Doucore was the best of the midfield 3, but that isn’t saying much. Allan had a bit of a mare in the 1st which isn’t like him and Gomes really struggled. I would actually not be opposed to seeing Godfrey with Doucore and Allan in a game like this. We needed much more presence today than we had.

i thought he was ace. Until they scored the 2nd i thought we were very comfortable and the more likely to score.
