Same as Gomes for me now, not good enough. We lack decent central options, and I believe we need 3, but Dacoure shouldn’t be one of them. I thought he gave us good energy in the past, but that doesn’t seem what it was, and his quality on the ball is shockingly bad. 1 of Iwobi, Gordon or Ali, alongside 2 of Alan, Donny or Delph (if he gets off his sickbed)

Yes maybe he’s not 100% in terms fitness, but the only really effects his ability to get about the pitch quickly and for 90mins

On the ball he’s always been average at best.

I thought Gomes was better than him today, in that his crap didn't smell quite as bad kind of way...both awful

He's probably the signing that annoys me the most. He was never good, he's still not good, he's the exact player we should have known we were getting when we signed him and he's not a player you can ever make Europe or win a cup while you're playing him every week.

He's an incomplete player. He can cover ground and he can get into dangerous areas in the attacking third from deeper. But that is all he can really do. He's below average positionally in and out of possession, he doesn't progress the ball reliably and his ball winning comes and goes. You can't have a player with that many holes in what they're supposed to do in their role in the team.

He’s already been relegated once and when that happened the best team in for him had just finished 12th. There’s no need to make out like he’s done unfathomable decline, he’s exactly the player we knew we were getting. He isn’t, and never has been, a good footballer.

Dukes is a victim of playing alongside Gomes in a two. Dukes had to do all the running that Gomes didn’t which effected his impact on the game, I agree that he isn’t the best with ball at feet but as a player who breaks up play he is suited to playing in a 3 where he can roam and not leave spaces. In a 2 he is very ineffective and yesterday it showed.
