I don’t think Lampard style fit him, he is not confident in the traffic , he likes to break the lines and use the space , our problem is that we changing the manager too often in the pass and as result we have so many players that they don’t fit current managers , Douc is Carlo lad and he was signed with purpose , if Lampard adjust our style especially away and I am sure he will it will be beneficial for everyone, we can’t play with high press and ball possession away as without crowd behind this players are giving up a minute after we concede the first goal , nothing there to push them back when at home is different story , we have to stay behind the ball and try to surprise the opponent , quick breaks trough the quick transition, Gray, Douc , Richy , Dom , Gordon, Iwobi , all those lads are more confident when we play away behind the ball , our movement without ball is shocking so due to that sometimes our midfielders only options is to pass to ball back to defenders and Douc became expert in that

There’s always excuses for these players, it’s this system or it’s this partner in midfield or it’s this manager etc. I just see a player with a poor first touch and no passing range. More often than not he goes backwards, and he has zero conviction in anything he does.
Benitez got something of a tune out of him by basically just pointing him forward to run onto things but I don’t know what formation he’d actually be good in as he doesn’t have the conviction to tackle or shoot, and doesn’t have the technique to take the ball and pass. Another cowardly dosser.

I remember the cup game v United under Ancelotti. Docuoure started like a machine, confident, taking balls on the half turn, smashing into opponents etc. then Keane had gave the ball away and ballooned one out of play in quick succession under no pressure whatsoever. Then after that Docuoure couldn’t trap a ball for the rest of the game and was useless. Like you said, as soon as one minor thing went wrong his head went and he just gave up
He has struggled really badly since he came back from injury, bar the city game.

I think he's a player who knows he plays whenever he's fit.
