Of course you'd expect our form to dip a bit without our top scorer so far this season.

But we have looked clueless in attack without him which is a concern. What if his excellent form tapers off (which it often does when players tend to score by being 'in the right place at the right time')?

Come on Dyche, prove to us that you can work this problem out.

He played Harrison in that role effectively against Newcastle with Doucoure playing deeper. But obviously Dyche doesn't fancy our winger alternatives to do it again.

I don’t understand why he’s such a hard player to replace, how can it be so hard to just get a player to replicate the job he does on the pitch? Why does the manager insist on changing the formation before he just tries someone else in that role and asks them to do what Doucoure does, which is essentially buzz around the striker and pick up second balls?
Nobody else is anything like him as a player its not any more complex than that. He's a big strong fella who can run all day he is a natural at pressing and harrying, hes alright in the air and hes good at getting into dangerous places to score. He drops into midfield when we need him to and gets beyond the striker when we need him to who else do you think we've got that can just come in and do all that for us? The manager doesn't insist on changing formation we didn't change formation for the first 3 games he missed but we didn't win any of them so he tried something else like you'd expect. It didn't work and he has to take responsibility for that but most managers haven't even found us one way of playing that gets the best out of what we've got so I don't know why we think Dyche should be able to find two.

Where are the deep thinking purists who insist he is a terrible player?
Technically he's very plop. So was Tim Cahill, but they both know how to play this advanced 10 position and put the ball in the back of the net, and it's fantastic we've found a role for him that is vital to our side. I remember him saying under Benitez that he wanted to play a more advanced role and now we can see why.

Cahill was a much better player, wasn’t amazing technically, but some of the goals he scored for us, overhead kick Chelsea and for Australia, like the one at the World Cup. Doucoure can only dream off. Most of doucoure goals are tap ins. he’s been a big player for us and dyche. But you need better in the 10 role. Had we been fighting relegation when Cahill was here, he would have been sold in 2/3yrs to a European qualifing team
