2024/25 Abdoulaye Doucoure

Maybe if does stay will be taking a big loss on his contract, but signs dont look atm he will be getting s new deal
Think he's on around 120k pw mate, and weirdly given his main strength is his energy level I always though he's sucked coming on as a sub.

Can't knock his attitude as he gives everything, but at 32 and with him being clearly limited on the ball I just think it's tine to say thanks for the service and that one goal especially but we are moving on.

Can't have backups on way more money than the starters and going forwards he should not be starting long term you'd hope.

The good and the bad as always with Doucs, more good than bad yesterday. If he was on half the wage he is I'd keep him but he's not top earner material.

That being said the level of hate thrown his way has always made me uncomfortable, thats the modern fan base for you though

Going to be interesting to see what happens now between him and Alcaraz.........

For me hes lost half a yard, since his injury this time last year, father time waits for no one.

Hes just so effective though in getting results - its going to be interesting to see how this plays out, presuming of course him and Alcaraz will duke it out.

He can certainly produce a moment of brilliance that sees him belt one into the net to win a game, but its the other 89 or so minutes in the game where he looks like a new born giraffe running around the pitch, and having a first touch that can see the ball end up 20 yards away from his feet that is hard to watch.

I'm guessing we will see Doucs starting and around 65-70 Alcaraz coming on in games.

Depending on performance by the end of the season the roles may have reversed - at least that's what I'm hoping as it means Alcaraz has out performed him.

Just the option of bringing in a player whose first thought is to drive forwards may hopefully cut out the last 20 when we start losing that counter danger

Think it might depend on the opposition, the better sides we play i guess he will go with Doucoure for the 'legs' and his work rate.

The lesser sides Alcaraz as we hopefully wont have to defend as much and we hope he has a lot more guile and ability to unlock defences.

One of the most frustrating players I've seen in a long time, he goes from chasing lost causes and winning the ball back then playing a decent pass to put us on the attack to literally the worst 5 yard pass I've ever seen in the space of 1 minute.

He gets us out of trouble and back in trouble in seconds.

I half expect players played in by him fluff chances as they are t actually expecting it to arrive 😂

Frustrating is the key word. The player who has me jumping from 'nice one' to 'f's sake' within seconds of each other

All he does is run around to get his stats up .LIABILITY
