2024/25 Abdoulaye Doucoure

Zero, but performance level is a much better guide to long term points accumulation than a one off result. We will gain more points with Tim over the course of a season than we will with Doucs in my opinion.
Similar argument to the manager, while we have dyche as manager and we will doucoure type players in the team.

He can be a real tough watch - especially in the final third.

But we can't get away from the very clear correlation showing we earn a lot more points when he plays. What's that all about?

He also made the biggest contribution to this football club in modern times. I struggle to think of a moment as important to the club as his strike vs Bournemouth. All considered - we were in for a world of pain if we went down.

So pull your punches you horrors.

Tim is way more talented don’t get me wrong, but right now points do matter and I don’t think we can even vaguely afford to nurture young talent and be patient.

Sad indictment of where we are but we literally just need to get through this season still in the prem and hit a big reset in the summer.

Lots of different reasons we stayed up, Pickford saving Maddison’s penalty, Dyche finally bringing Mina back in with 4 games to go, Coady clearing one of the line v Bournemouth late on.

Clearly, a season isn't one game or one moment.

But we'd be in a terrible state right now if Doucoure didn't score that screamer with 33 minutes of the season to go.

Terrible footballer who Dyche loves , first name on the team sheet.

Regarding points yes it's a bizarre correlation which frankly I can't explain or be bothered to think about.

I will be happy when both are no longer at the club.

He will just be the next Gareth Farrelly in 25yrs. remembered for scoring an important goal, for a crap Everton team, in a depressing period

Doucoure has 2 decent attributes, athleticism and work rate. He is devoid of the technical ability that just about every other PL footballer possess.

The fact that those 2 attributes are enough to make you the highest paid player at Goodison on 120k per week should be enough to tell you why Everton have been so appalling.

Doucoure has already cost us 3 points this season, and what's earned is due to other players.

I heard he also likes to kick puppies but unconfirmed

Would forever kiss his feet for that Bournemouth goal. Being there, that guttural roar of pure relief from the crowd, like being reunited with a lost family member though dead. I thought the ferguson v's united was the loudest I'd heard goodison in my life (too young for Munich), but that was something else. It will stick with me to my deathbed.

His Rampant movement on the pitch can be helpful but his brain seems to be moving at the same pace so he just sloppily rushes passes or impulsively makes a shot that has no chance of scoring some times
