I totally agree. Doucoure is not a good number 10. Never have been. Never will be. But it is still by far his best position.He's an athlete and that works in the modern game.
But when they do all the hard work and get into good positions... technique then has to come into play. Which doesn't for him.

It might be unfair, but he is a little like Tim Cahill. Not very good at what you want from a player in his position, but still valuable because of the odd important goals he scores. When Cahill stopped scoring he wasn't good enough to play in the Premier League. The same goes for Doucoure.
He has 0 goals in 1258 minutes this season. Last season he scored 7 in 2643. 5 in 1529 the season before.
If he had 4 or 5 goals this season it would be easier to look past his shortcomings.
