This exactly- he takes 4 touches to get some "control" of the ball then dithers which just gets a well drilled team like forest plenty of team to set themselves..

Imagine harrison and docoure at training must be like pinball wizard the ball bouncing off each other..
 

I realise that without him, the midfield is a bit small and powder-puff so we rely on his physicality and legs for the press as well as the capacity to head the ball a bit and compete. Because we are so lacking in options is why he's first on the team sheet.

Shouts for Ndiaye or McNeil to play central attacking midfielder is unlikely. forest yesterday seemed half a foot taller than us across the entire side.

We're a car crash of a squad, there's no guile and no athletic presence outside of Doucoure, who seems to be completely disconnected to his legs when in possession. We've tried to blend a side from players only able to perform to the narrowest and most basic of ways. And few if any of em match.

He breathes out of his arsp in the 2nd half - never a behind the striker role also another one of Dyches failings .. We looked better playing 442 with Patterson at the end too - all that will be forgotten - in our next game wonder Manager's team selection .....

He is only a 10. By far his best position.

He is poor at what you expect from a 10, but for a team that has 30-35% possession his work rate has some value. Our midfield, while still being poor, is a lot better with Doucoure as a 10 than when Ndiaye or McNeil play there.

In a perfect world we would have midfield that could control the matches, give us more possession and don't need as much help from the 10. We're far from that and there is no easy fix.

Our midfield is probably the worst in the league - with or without Doucoure.

He's an athlete and that works in the modern game.

But when they do all the hard work and get into good positions... technique then has to come into play. Which doesn't for him.
