2024/25 Abdoulaye Doucoure

Watching last night I was impressed with how much ground he covers, he hassles the opposition and did force some mistakes from Villa. But when he has the ball he just tends to give it away.

I just kept thinking imagine if he could actually pass hed be an asset to the team.

Also watching Ndiaye- the work rate he puts in surely would match that of Doucoure but would have the ability to pass or beat a man in the final third.

Harrison has been poor but I’d be interested to see how he’d do in his natural position on the left with Ndiaye in the 10 and Lindstrom in the right.

Got to be worth a try. Doucoure isn't getting on the end of things anymore. At least when he was popping up with a few goals it made his position a bit more viable.

If only this £120k per week Premier League footballer could pass :lol::lol:

We could get a Jack Russell in at a fraction of the cost who could also 'cover the ground' and be a lot more cost effective with better ball control too.

He scored an important goal once, woohoo. So do Gareth Farrelly and yet he hasn't played for us in a while. Let's start having some standards and asking our professional footballers to be able to make a pass once in a while.

So disappointed Moyes starting him.
Soon as i saw his name it just sucked the life out of any enthusiasm.
There are players in division 1 with better touch and technique.
I thought we'd seen the last of him starting.
Do managers see him as a bit of insurance. That he runs about a bit. A worker for the team.....
I dont get it. He's woeful.
He's another who I doubt would start for another team in the division.

Young, Mykolenko, Harrison, Doucoure. You could make very good arguments that none of them would start elsewhere, yet all four are in our starting XI together 90% of the time. Hence why we're 3 points off 19th after 20 games. Thank God we have one of the best keepers in the division, otherwise we'd likely be a point or two off Southampton. Pickford is quite literally the difference between staying up and going down and it might prove to be the case, but as it stands, with us going backwards at a rate of knots, we're probably both relying on him keeping up his superb performances AND other teams not improving.

Ndiaye has to be the ten moving forward especially when Mcneil is back
