Adebayors stamp on Van Persie

The stamp was a direct result of VPs lunge at him, it was pretty reckless from him to be honest, if I was going to excuse him thats the road I would go down, but in my eyes its unexcuseable.

I would just rather race was kept out of it to be honest, to assume that racism played a part simply cos hes black, is, in a word, racist.

well the reports now back up what ive said mate about the taunts being jestured towards adebayor.

dont get me wrong as ive said i dont condone the stamp at all.

But you did mate, in your reply to me - which is sad as you're sound and I can assure you if an Everton player acted like a massive, massive sh*thouse like that I wouldnt defend it.

But nice one, you won, you're minted and the media (at present) love you.

Just saw it.

Minimum ten match ban.

If anyone wants to try and rationalize that it should be LESS than that, let's have a go because you'll lose.

If an Everton player had done that, I'd have said the same.

Quite simply, it was a stamp, he knew what he was doing he changed his entire body shape to get maximum force into that foot. So 10 game ban along with another 10 game ban for inciting a riot in the away section + costs of the entire policing for the day.
Lets see him be quite so smug then.

Not mention the poor steward who got a nasty knock on the head :

It later emerged that a match steward needed hospital treatment after being hit by a flying object in the wake of Adebayor's goal celebration.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "The steward received a head injury from a flying object which appeared to have been thrown from the direction of the away end.

"We were told the steward was unconscious for a few seconds before being taken to hospital and later discharged."

The spokesman, who could not confirm whether the steward was male or female, said police would investigate the assault.

He should sue.

I actually agree with Bluemoon here.

If Yakubu done it against liverpool after they were calling him Purple Aki or being racist towards him and his family, and he scored and celebrated infront of them, we'd love it and love him.

I think Adebayor was lucky to be on the pitch after a bad tackle on Fabregas and the "stamp" on RVP, however i think "fans" who give players all kinds of stick need to get a grip when they start crying because he's celebrated a goal infront of them.

If arsenal fans were THAT angry, why didn't one of them get on the pitch? instead they chose to be SCUM and throw bottles and seats, and knocked a steward unconcious. I understand this might not of happened had Adebayor not celebrated by them, but if they can't control themselves they shouldn't be at the game.

Also they threw bananas at Adebayor, mindless idiots.

PS i hate Arsenal

If your referring to the celebration

he shouldn't get any further action, as tw@ttenburg seen the incident and booked him.

I bought a paper today cos I was going somewhere without internet and needed a good laugh, anyway, the bible that is The Daily Star reckons that the police are looking into it all. SEND HIM DOWN.

No, its more of if Cahill ever transfered to the RS, scored against us, then celebrated towards our fans which is the point.

Lack of respect even if the fans were giving him [Poor language removed]. They once adorded him and he played at the highest level for Arsenal. Seems to mean nothing to him.

It was silly, even though I expected him to something like that if he scored anyway, and it was dangerous as it lead to a steward being knock out.

As for them getting on the pitch...I heard the police steamed in minutes later and remained there for the duration so it would've been pretty hard.

3 game ban. Misses the Manc derby. And could get another slap for code of conduct over the celebration at the end of the month (probably get a fine for that though)

well he has got his punishemnt in view of what the FA says he should get so im not arguing about that.

regarding his goal celebration then im sure city will appeal whatever they throw at city/adebayor because he got a yellow card for it which means if the FA try to give him some other punishment then they will have to rewrite there books because he has alerady got his punishment for that with a yellow card which rightly or wrongly the ref had given him.

and yes he will miss the manchester derby which is a big loss to us because our only fit striker is everyones favourite player craig bellamy :D
