We’ve got options yet surely if we want to compete we need quality and strength in depth? We should aim to keep him.

I think we are aiming to keep him, Phil.

But my point was that if he does go, it's not like we don't have the quality/numbers to get through to January at the very least.

We've still got a massive squad. It's way too big for one game per-week.

If we are looking to get £30m for the lad in the next window, we will need to give him some game time to show he can live up to that price tag, and hopefully get RB Leipzig to change their stance and up their offer.

That German team have got their stance. I won’t risk our points for someone who doesn’t seem to care about this club.

Why do we need to show him he is worthed the money. It’s either pay up or shut up.

Because I don't feel it's a good idea to have a player sulking in the background, getting zero game time, and maybe eventually leaving on a free. If Marco is a good a Manager as people seem to think he is, he'll be able to use Lookman to our advantage on the pitch, and either eventually get a decent price for him or convince to stay. Personally, I would like to see him stay and fight his way into the team.

What makes someone think he can just walk in the team I never know. If he does not have the heart to do it just sell him £20m plus with a sell on clause.

If he's being a little bich with a bad attitude then we should just whop him in the reserves and let him sit there for the next three years. We only paid 10m for him which is nothing, and he'll be on relatively low wages. Make a stand and let the arrogant cart realise his mistake and hopefully he'll be ready for the 2020/2021 season.

I would give him game time sure but only if he's arsed. Cant afford to play players that arnt going to give 100 %

That's the thing Mate, and it will come across in training etc. exactly what is attitude is. Although, if he still wants out but is willing give Everton 100% whilst here... then use him to our advantage. He's an exciting, explosive, pacey player, I'd hate to see him rot on the sidelines.

I think the club are handling this very well. If they were to cave in now and sell him for under the value it would set a very bad precedent to all of the young players.

The more sensible way of handling it is to acknowledge last season was difficult, reiterate that he is part of the managers plan and state they expect him to put a shift in for a season, where it can be revisited next summer if he does this.

It sets a clear pattern that if players knuckle down for Everton they will be allowed to move on when it suits both parties, but if they behave badly then there will be no opportunity.

As I think I said before, I expect him to play with the 23's a bit in the autumn but the penny to drop. I don't think Leipzig will pay 30 million and I don't think we should sell below that.

Better players than him have been dropped and forced to swallow their pride and put a shift in , not always a bad thing......Tevez at city for one

No doubt been told to play up and force the issue privately by that absolute snake Rangnick who is desperate to get him back even though they can’t afford the fee.

I wouldn’t sell to them no matter what they offered out of principle. Would hate to see that Bell get his wish after all the tapping up he’s done over the summer.

Shove him in the reserves and find a buyer over here in January.

Obviously with Marco's comments, the players attitude is not in the right place at the moment. Not prepared to believe all these rumours about strikes and so forth, but the last thing I would do now is sell him, especially to RBL on their terms.

Get the transfer deadline out of the way, tell him to knuckle down and work his way back into the match day squad, and hopefully he'll manage to get his head straight. He's a professional footballer so hopefully his advisors will be telling him the same thing.

If not, put him with the U23s.

Silva is playing a blinder, as it`s impossible for Lookman to spin the " mistreatment "angle, when Silva is saying nothing but good things about him and that he`s sees him as an integral part of the team in the future.

This...
Players acting like this needs to be nipped in the bud or else it’s going to happen all the time. Sign a multi million pound contract and you expect to get paid it even if injured or playing crap. Flip side is you have also made a commitment , they can’t be allowed to get their own way be refusing to train or do their job.
I would not sell him or do any business with RBL and would even comment and say as much.

10m is nothing and doesn’t even buy you bolasie , put lookman in the reserves and freeze him out for the rest of his contract or give him the option of leaving to another club apart from RBL. Can’t be bullied here need to be strong and make an example of this , IF this is all true that is
