Ademola Lookman

I'd say he's improved our attacking play each time he has come on. Sure, he hasn't spectacularly put one into the top corner from 25 yards, but he's looked more of a goal threat than Walcott.

From memory his last start for Everton was Apollon Limassol away...... he was good enough to score twice that day.

I'm not seeing it to be honest, He hasn't really looked like scoring whereas Walcott has, he has just fluffed his chances.

Either way we all know he has it in him and tomorrow is the ideal time to give him a go from the start.

If he doesn't score a hat trick in the first 15 minutes I will be burning an effigy of him next game though.

Erm, he would have scored one of the best goals of our season so far mate if not for a brilliant save by Cardiff's goalkeeper. Ten minutes later he set up Tosun who missed from close range.

I haven't been one clamouring for him to come in but he's certainly added something in every game he's played so far. Bare in mind he was also the one who created our opener v Palace.

Up to him now because I think he's going to get a run in the side v Newcastle and Watford.

Think tonight is the perfect time to bring Lookman in, wouldn't be shocked to see him get a goal too, he's the type to rise to an occasion and show how talented he is

with the massive amount of games coming up in January this is HUGE chance for lookman to impress, if he comes in and plays well he can keep Walcott out of the team given how average he has been

I really hope that he comes in and makes the shirt his own on the right side...i think hes better in Sigurdssons position myself though.

If he can cement the right forward position then we can sell Walcott and it could enable us to use that cash towards a new player elsewhere in the team.

The more u21s we can get in the 11 then the more cash we have to spend on the other positions which need strengthening.

Walcott would have had some without great saves by keepers too though.

He hasn't added something in every game. He didn't do much in the derby bar one boss run across the pitch that went nowhere for example.

It feels like I am always slating the bloke and I really am not, i think he has talent and I would like to see him play more but I also get the feeling that he is being hyped up with this whole "deserves to start" stuff when in reality in his sub appearances he has shown a few flashes of what he is capable of and has been pretty average beyond that. (and I don't mean average in a derogatory way.).

Walcott is doing the same (getting chances, fluffing them) yet we are all "booo Theo" to him.

It’s Ade’s time to shine on Wednesday. It’s not because Walcott and Bernard have been poor. It’s because they haven’t taken advantage of the countless opportunities that they create for themselves.

Sometimes a player can do everything right except finish the chance off. If he doesn’t put them away, what is the point? Let’s see if Ade can provide the goals that’s we lack as of late

Lookman looks to have more creativity than Walcott to me. He seems to have good vision and is not afraid to carry the ball and then find a pass. I don't believe Walcott has the same quality or vision. He is a threat, because of his pace, but Lookman should play the next game or 2 and if he does well, City as well. Ian Wright says this lad could be special for us, for once I agree with him. Time to take it out on the toon Ademola!!!

Not sure really. Walcott has been guilty of missing chances, really. Like the Palace one where he hit it straight at Hennessey, or the S'ton one where he shot wide.

He has added to every game since Palace. He helped us get up the pitch v Chelsea and did the same on Sunday. It was also Lookman who made a last-ditch tackle on Firmino. It's not just goals and assists and you know that.

Btw, I know you're not slating him, and I'm definitely not slating Walcott. I just think now is definitely the right time for him to come in and to say he hasn't played well is a bit much because he has clearly been playing well. Now he needs to do it for a whole game like you say.

And no, Lookman hasn't got the chances Walcott has had. I'm a huge Walcott fan and he's massively important to this team and he hasn't been playing anywhere close to as bad as some people make out.
