Finally
I'd say he's improved our attacking play each time he has come on. Sure, he hasn't spectacularly put one into the top corner from 25 yards, but he's looked more of a goal threat than Walcott.
From memory his last start for Everton was Apollon Limassol away...... he was good enough to score twice that day.
I'm not seeing it to be honest, He hasn't really looked like scoring whereas Walcott has, he has just fluffed his chances.
Either way we all know he has it in him and tomorrow is the ideal time to give him a go from the start.
If he doesn't score a hat trick in the first 15 minutes I will be burning an effigy of him next game though.
Think tonight is the perfect time to bring Lookman in, wouldn't be shocked to see him get a goal too, he's the type to rise to an occasion and show how talented he is
Erm, he would have scored one of the best goals of our season so far mate if not for a brilliant save by Cardiff's goalkeeper. Ten minutes later he set up Tosun who missed from close range.
I haven't been one clamouring for him to come in but he's certainly added something in every game he's played so far. Bare in mind he was also the one who created our opener v Palace.
Up to him now because I think he's going to get a run in the side v Newcastle and Watford.
Walcott would have had some without great saves by keepers too though.
He hasn't added something in every game. He didn't do much in the derby bar one boss run across the pitch that went nowhere for example.
It feels like I am always slating the bloke and I really am not, i think he has talent and I would like to see him play more but I also get the feeling that he is being hyped up with this whole "deserves to start" stuff when in reality in his sub appearances he has shown a few flashes of what he is capable of and has been pretty average beyond that. (and I don't mean average in a derogatory way.).
Walcott is doing the same (getting chances, fluffing them) yet we are all "booo Theo" to him.
