He hasn't started on the left where he's clearly more effective... yet.

It's becoming a serious strike against the manager that he can't see who our most effective creative player has been so far this season.

I think Silva has been fine with him, built up his minutes and appears to be getting more confident with it. This chuck of games will see him get another start as will the FA cup game. I like the lad, bags of ability, I don't understand the desire from some and their make believe attitude problem they have invented for him, its weird

He’s made a grand total of one premier league start this season yet people are in here acting like we keep giving him chances and he’s not taking them.

It isn’t a recurring theme, what is a recurring theme is Bernard on the left and Walcott on the right continually being given starts and not producing.

If you give Bernard the assist for the Leicester game that’s a grand total of one assist between them for 10 games on the bounce. That is unacceptable in my eyes.

How people are against giving Lookman consistent starts when that’s what Bernard and Walcott have provided (1 assist since the 6th October) is utterly baffling.

Agreed about the attitude thing. Some slight stereotypes I'd suggest but not here for that discussion right now. I just see a lack of spark in the final third when he isn't playing.

Played well when he came on and created a goal scoring chance which Walcott unsurprisingly fumbled. Don't understand why some don't want him to start, yes he was average against Newcastle but so was the whole team bar Gomes.

The myth is people thinking he’s some world class footballer. He has skill and pace but struggles with awareness and decision making, still needs to be used from the bench imo

So he has pace and skill which players either have or don’t , he has both. He struggles with awareness and decision making , which you learn through experience ? You solution is to not give him as many minutes as we can to improve ?

If you come on as a sub then the number one criteria is to make a difference. Job done today. He played to his strength and got us on the front foot. To start games he has to keep doing this and take it from there.

Sometimes You see players and Think when everything gets in place he'll be one of the best in the world but it never happens.. At least he is in that category and should get more playing time unlike players who are what they are and its nothing exciting

He's played limited minutes of late and created more than the guys starting every game. Digne is our most productive player when he's not out there and that can't continue.

He's started once in the last calendar year so the he can't do it when he starts excuse doesn't fly until he actually starts.
