...Lookman is the type of progressive footballer we need; pacy, finishes well on left or right, creative, can go past players, a genuine attacking threat. It seems folly to sell him just as it seemed folly to send him on loan when he was better than what we had.

The only area I have doubts about is the lads character. He often looks moody but I dare say footballers are different types and it’s up to the Manager to get them onboard.

It's irrelevant if he wants to leave. The fee being offered is less than half of his market value. He stays unless the offer hits 30m. Leipzig need to get a grip.

Back to the thread subject: Would be extremely disappointed, if indeed Ademola has made it clear he wants to leave, if we pick up any less than 20-odd million for him, given the English premium, the fact we're already short in that area, fee we paid, etc.

We want him to stay. Silva - and Brands, who has said this publicly - both want him to stay.

It looks like he might have had his head turned. Job is now to persuade him to stay. As I've said, if it means not making another signing, fine. Have him as first choice for that role for the first half of the season.

If he does want to leave it’s purely for the playing time; they’re not in Europe this year and won’t pay anywhere near our wages.
