The majority of it is criticism though. Questioning the decisions of people who know an awful lot more about running a football club then any of us here.
Its fairly tiresome
I basically only question the situation at LW and the questionable handling of young talents. The club has done fantastic work since Brands took over in a lot of areas.

So maybe he is right on this one too.
At the moment no one can tell bar maybe those who work with the players on a full time basis . Not people looking in from the outside
I can see what he's done on the field and it's been extremely promising. I feel that if instead of fleeting glimpses we got to see him regularly more people would feel similarly.

And again RBL have a much better record than we do, got to see him every day on loan, and want to spend significantly to bring him back. That's a sign of something to me.

The fact that he is not featuring much for us and did not under 3 managers and also did not make the England u21 squad is a sign of something to me. And also what he has done on the pitch when he played for would not convince me he is a world beater.
But he is not goin to feature for us ..we will sell him If we get an adequate offer.
And no one can say If we are right or wrong for at least 2 seasons.

Yeah it's definitely wait and see at this point. I really hope he can get fit for the rest of preseason and maybe show some of his ability. Ultimately though I don't see any way he's in the XI at Selhurst and I doubt he feels that can happen either. I think he will push for RBL if they're actually coming back for him. He knows the reason he got dropped from the u21s is as much not playing as it was his performances. Everyone else in that team featured regularly.

His promising moments in an Everton shirt have been very few and far between. I'd say in the majority of his games he's looked at best vaguely dangerous (able to get you out of your seat but with little end product) and at worst a total liability, just wandering round in his own little world, seemingly unaware of the fact he's supposed to be playing a role for the team.

He's definitely got talent, but i'm yet to be convinced that it's a really special kind of talent.

....or it could look great business. It really is about the club having a valuation and another club meeting it. I doubt we’d get £20m given the player failed to make an impact last season.
But then you apply the Solanke principle...

For team in bad need of a creative force, especially off the bench, he could be very important. But if he doesn’t want to be here and won’t work, it doesn’t matter.

His playing time has also been spread out. There have been moments but how could there be more when the opportunities haven't been? The flashes are enough for me, combined with the RBL loan, to say at a minimum we should have given him one good run. But yes his moments here are an assist vs Palace and a consolation game MotM vs Appollon. It isn't much but also how could it be?

As for the tactical understanding part I don't see that as a problem that wouldn't be solved with experience. Generally speaking our management needs to be willing to accept occasional mistakes from young players as a part of developing them. They won't be perfect at age 21. A bad performance shouldn't have them benched for months.
