Ademola Lookman

can beat a man, and then do nothing. lose the ball, and not try to get it back. yeah, great. that really helps.
bit like wright-phillips, mirallas, etc. at least Lennon had some defensive effort to counter his lack of end product.

i just really dont see what people like in him. there simply IS no end product. he runs, beats a mam, loses the ball. repeat.
He has a goal or assist every 300 or so minutes for us which isn't great but given circumstances like not starting ever, having a bunch of different managers, moving up a league and being 20ish it isn't bad either. If you add his RBL minutes in it comes down to a goal or assist every 136 minute which is fantastic.

Edit: I should add this is in the league only.

Not talking about Neres. What if we bought Kean for £30m, then from selling Lookman we'd have generated more or less all of his transfer fee from that sale? Upgraded a major position and got a waste of space off the books as well.
That would be fantastic and we would still need to sign a winger. Unless Henry can get a permit maybe.

I do find Ademola Lookman to be a strange choice of player to screamingly defend. He's quite clearly got a stinking attitude, gave up yesterday and I'd say has had two decent games

I can fully undersand why Marco didnt want to sell last summer, he wanted to see him for himself, but if the offer is there we have to take it. Just watch the "we have to sell to buy" types jump on this if we do sell him.

I find it quite odd that someone getting injured is giving up. I'd be careful with that.

There's also some point as a manager where you should say my team is bang average and I should try someone else even if they are inconsistent and may not play well. The safe managers we've had are happy to play Bernard or whoever because they always get 6 out of 10. At some point taking the chance on the guy who could be an 8 or a 4 is necessary. If you can work with that player and make him have more 8s and less 4s suddenly you might not be average anymore. It's easier to say when you arent the one at risk obviously but that's what it is.

That's really where my frustration is here. We are average and have a guy who might be able to be more than that but could also be total crap and we've decided we'd rather just be average than take a chance and risk having things go wrong.
No. This is very poor team management. You never do this.
