Ademola Lookman

A reliable source tells me that Lookerman does not hate anybody and the reliable source casts doubt on the reliability of other unreliable sources which claim Lookerman hates himself and everybody else which all comes from an unreliable source. I know a number of people who hate Everton and they are not on this forum for obvious reasons to do with their allegiances elsewhere.

His playing time has also been spread out. There have been moments but how could there be more when the opportunities haven't been? The flashes are enough for me, combined with the RBL loan, to say at a minimum we should have given him one good run. But yes his moments here are an assist vs Palace and a consolation game MotM vs Appollon. It isn't much but also how could it be?

As for the tactical understanding part I don't see that as a problem that wouldn't be solved with experience. Generally speaking our management needs to be willing to accept occasional mistakes from young players as a part of developing them. They won't be perfect at age 21. A bad performance shouldn't have them benched for months.

This ,,,, he should be told or rather should have been told at the end of last season , that he’s going to get a run of 10 games or so and that he will be judged over them and not 10 minutes at the end of games we are losing. The amount of pressure put on a player that is young and knows he has to produce something in ten minutes or else he sits on the bench for a month , must be huge. It would effect decision making like never playing an easy ball because he has to score , shoot or create something with one of his 15 touches. He walks round players like they’re not there, has quick feet, immaculate control and touch , can cross, actually take corners and can shoot with both feet. Technically I think he’s our best young player by a mile and I really think if we let him go without even trying him out we will regret it. I mean Walcott was absolute dog turd and started and played most of the games he started for a couple of months. He was missing sitters, shooting when he should be passing, exposing Coleman and had a terrible understanding with him, I don’t care if he runs more laps and does more push ups in training we was absolutely crap and lookman would have created more imo. He may not be strong defensively but neither is Walcott so why we didn’t give him a run at the end of the season I will never know.

He has had 3/4 different managers and none of them have given him a run of games. I know he did well in Germany but that league is currently much weaker than here.

He has loads of ability with the ball but then so did Beagrie, McFadden, Mirallas etc.

I really want him to succeed here but something is missing from his all round game.

So we’re going to trust the judgement of Koeman, Unsworth and Allerdyce now?
