It's not just us. The managers/directors at RBL seem to rate him highly.
Honestly if he was off to Blackburn or something it would be different but he's literally being bought by a CL club to be a part of their first team. That should maybe be a sign of something.

Yes a blatant sign that he has a problem with Everton. He doesn't want to play for us and is sulking in training otherwise he would be probably playing for us.
Sigurdsson was excellent most of last season. Keane when he established himself as first choice was part of a defence that for the last 3 months of the season was as good as almost anyone.
Pickford is a good keeper.

My take is that he has no problem with the club he has a problem with not playing. He's good enough right now to play regularly for a ton of teams and to be sitting on the bench, and sitting behind 1 goal a season wingers, has to frustrate him.
He went on loan because Allardyce wouldn't play him. He wanted to go back because RBL did play him. He got frustrated this year because he wasn't playing again. I see that as the overarching problem not that he hates Everton.
I also think the "he hates Everton" narrative is manufactured. I dont know what the evidence is. You joke about him posting it on Instagram but honestly that would be the first concrete thing on the matter that I can think of. So far it's about how he doesn't smile enough.

The people who ask if you could do better every time someone offers an opinion on the manager are strange. Life would be awfully boring if you could only discuss things that you were a professional at.
But it still boils down to 3 managers not rating him for one reason or another. I myself didn't see enough shown to guarantee him a starting place. If you are not playing you have to question yourself to why not then sort it out by working harder. Silva and Brands showed faith in him and praised his talent but concluded that he doesn't show enough of it in training. If you don't show in training you don't get picked. We all wanted him to succeed but in the end it is the managers decision if he plays or not. All 3 did not play him often and that is damning evidence that he never convinced them one way or another. At RBL maybe he was up for it.
