Ademola Lookman

There's no chance they'll accept his demands. The idea of the lad being their top earner is mind blowing with the players they have.

I'm not surprised their offer of £22m up front has gradually lowered.

He is not a rat. I think you should stop referring to him like that. There is no need.

Charlton have 15% of any profit in their sell on deal i believe. Like you though ill wait for the official announcement, cue undisclosed fee.

I read 10% which is fairly standard. We will have similar, it's standard. If it's undisclosed it will likely be higher than the numbers mentioned. I'll wait to see from more concrete sources anyway.

He can sod off.

A year ago I was desperate to keep him, see him knuckle down and hopefully watch him flourish into a bloody good if not great player. It hasn't happened and most of it is down to the lad himself.

Yes, he could and should have probably had more game time. Yes, he has been a victim of circumstances with the numerous changes of manager and other players being brought in for the left-forward role (his best position) for big money. And yes, he probably hasn't been made to feel as welcome and encouraged as much as he could have been. However, none of that makes me feel any affinity for the lad or even makes me want to wish him well really being totally honest.

His attitude hasn't been good enough no matter what anyone says. Saying someone has an 'attitude problem' isn't necessarily implying that they're a sulker/moaner or a negative influence. Silva a few months clearly and specifically said the problem with Lookman is that he doesn't do enough in training. That wasn't to paint him as someone who just turns up at Finch Farm and acts like a petulant kid, by all pretenses and purposes he's meant to be a shy and sensitive lad. He meant Lookman doesn't show his full capabilities, that he isn't displaying the willingness and enthusiasm that less talented players like Walcott or DCL probably do. For a player to have level his undoubted ability to not show it in training, it can only be because his heart's not in it. And if your heart's not in it you don't belong at Everton Football Club wearing the royal blue jersey, plain and simple.

See you later lad, maybe it will work out for you maybe it won't. Either way I won't miss him, we don't need anyone who doesn't believe in this project and our future.

It's mostly his fault.

*lists several reasons it isn't*

He clearly deserves some blame but we do too. And regardless of any of that this thread is embarrassing (not saying you specifically, the whole rat thing mainly). As with all of our ex players I hope he has a good future.

Lots of players have had things going against them out of their control yet haven't mentally given up like Lookman. Look at Niasse for Christ's sake, treated like a leper by Koeman, scoffed at by supporters as if he were the town drunk, yet still playing his heart out for the badge whenever he does get handed a chance. He sadly just doesn't have the ability to go with it. Here's a few more examples from recent years.

Bolasie - Suffers an absolutely horrendous freak injury, still came back and gave it his best in the latter part of 17/18 and would give it everything now if we had a use for him (we don't).

Besic - Gets loads of niggles to stunt his Everton career, then the manager who signed him is sacked, he gets a picks a bad injury in new manager's pre-season, comes back and works his hardest to impress his 3rd manager before being told he's not wanted. Accepts this and goes without a fuss.

Holgate - Started last season as 4th choice, injuries meant he was handed a chance, didn't impress in 1 or 2 games so was dropped ASAP and eventually loaned out. Has come back this summer fully committed and desperate to impress the manager to give him another chance.

Lookman simply didn't want it enough and if that's the case we shouldn't want him.
