ah well, £22m for someone who contributed, an assist v palace only in the whole season? He'll do well there, but it's an easier league before one of the other top 6 will splash £40m on him in a few years most probably.

£22m for someone who wasn't contributing to us and in return we can buy a new starting winger and strengthen.
 
RBL accommodated his ‘posse’. Housing for Mum/family/hangers on during his loan spell. We did not. Not saying we were right/wrong but this is why he was happier there. A couple of the press guys say he is a bit immature even for his relatively young age, very pampered (apparently has never cooked anything for himself which is not a crime but...) and very close relationship with his Mum. EFC did not seem willing/able to deal with all that baggage. Koeman had zero time for it & not sure Silva ever bonded with him like he obviously has with Richarlison.
 

we were right to keep him for one more year, looked like he'd come back here and become a starter and start to have a great career here, but constantly flattered to deceive. If he was doing well in training silva wouldn't have kept picking walcott ahead of him, we all know he rated him.
