Ademola Lookman

I think he is one of those players that became disillusioned with the club after the disaster that was Koemadyceageddon. It happens. Can’t really blame him, but it was best for both parties that he went.

He's got talent but is not consistent enough for the premier league, yet. Hopefully he does well and we make some money on the sell on. Last year in Algarve pre season we spoke to a very well respected Evertonian who said he had heard he was a bad apple.Plus also heard that he had a girlfriend in Germany so that probably played a big factor in him going back. With my own eyes I saw the friendly where he just walked around a 5 yard spot and the Southampton game where his name came up to be bought on but then didn't. Gave up on him then tbh.

He posted a farewell message today on instagram.. then Everton posted the new stadium lol which was like a slap in the face to guacamola..
He should of kept his head down and worked hard instead..

How many other 'top rated talents' have we not given a chance to who have gone on to do better elsewhere then!?

Deulofeu
Dier
Duffy
Mustafi
And Lookman (you will see as well)
Barkley (didn't develop at EFC, yet proves he was good enough for Chelsea and has improved in the last 12 months)

Its incorrect to brand all good talents who leave EFC due to lack of game time as "failures" just cos they don't win PLs and CLs after leaving. If these top rated players who we signed as high potential ones for future are playing in the top league of UK, Germany, Spain and not like Rodwell etc...then I'd say they are good enough. Its not like we compete for PL or CL ourselves do we? Nor are we up there for trophies to declare these players "too low quality" for us.

But on that list, how many of those players would come in and significantly improve our current team??

Geri at a push but hes still inconsistent and I wouldnt say hes better than Richarlison.

Your original post suggested that we're letting top quality players leave and that theyre going on to bigger and better things than us and thats just not true

Barkley, Mustafi and Dier went on to play for bigger and better clubs because we either were too blind to see potential or due to bad management convinced a boyhood blue (Barkley) to look elsewhere for further development (which he has done).

Lookman will now be playing for the 3rd best team in Germany based on the league table and therefore in Europe. Surely all these clubs see something in these players which we don't? Or we want to pass players like Deulofeu for the likes of Bolasie who we then send out to loan, or can't ship the likes if Mirallas off. Now we will look to again pay 50M+ for a "proven" PL player like Zaha.

Everton has lost its touch to make players, surely.

Deulofeu - LOL, was given many chances, Barca bought him back what were we supposed to do?
Dier - Wanted to go back to Sporting after his loan deal expired
Duffy - Wasn't getting a game over Jagielka and Distin but yes he's doing well for himself
Mustafi - Asked for release when he was 18/19 and went to Italy. Again wasn't going to play over Jagielka and Distin
And Lookman (you will see as well) - Yes we will see but it has looked for the past year all he has wanted is to go back to Germany.
Barkley (didn't develop at EFC, yet proves he was good enough for Chelsea and has improved in the last 12 months) - Didn't let him go he's a rat who forced a move

Of all these players how many at the time they were at the club were you screaming for them to play? Geri played a ton of games, Barkley played right up until he got injured and never played for us again so that's those 2 out. Lookman you'd have a case for but manager has alluded to the fact he wasn't doing it in training. If you're telling me you were championing that we played 3 CBs all under the age of 20 at a time Jags and Distin were out starting partnership then there is no hope for you
