Ademola Lookman

Barkley, Mustafi and Dier went on to play for bigger and better clubs because we either were too blind to see potential or due to bad management convinced a boyhood blue (Barkley) to look elsewhere for further development (which he has done).

Lookman will now be playing for the 3rd best team in Germany based on the league table and therefore in Europe. Surely all these clubs see something in these players which we don't? Or we want to pass players like Deulofeu for the likes of Bolasie who we then send out to loan, or can't ship the likes if Mirallas off. Now we will look to again pay 50M+ for a "proven" PL player like Zaha.

Everton has lost its touch to make players, surely.

Dier was only here on loan wasn't he?

And Mustafi had a few good years but he has been absolutely awful the last few seasons.

In the case of Barkley I think we would have liked to keep him but his head was turned and his contract was running out, not much the club could have done about that situation.

Probably if anyone Koeman is to blame for us losing Barkley and Geri because he didnt seem to care much for either of them

There will always be weirdos being critical of the odd player who got away.

I do think we coulda gotten more for Ross though.

We would have done if he hadn't done a U-Turn on deadline day only to sign for them a few months later for a lower transfer fee and presumably more wages.

Think we accepted 35 million originally

lol what on earth. Is this supposed to make the energy drink franchise sound better? Celtic are a 1st place CL club and he'd start week in week out there, means nothing.
The only people who would genuinely compare one of the best leagues in the world with the Scottish league are people with an agenda

In this market we could have got double for Ross at least and I don't really rate him even though he has some gifts of ability.

Ha ha ha

It's really not mate.

Better than the Scottish league yes but nowhere near one of the best in the world
Top 5 league in the world and consistently has 2 or more CL and EL teams past the group stages

5th placed team (Frankfurt) making the semifinals of the EL and only losing on pens to 3rd placed Chelsea

Lookman is going to one of the better teams from one of the best European leagues to play almost every match

Oh wow. Arsenal got to the final and are absolutely crap.

Why haven't you brought up any of the other German teams performances in Europe? Including the great FC Soft Drink who went out of a Europa League group that included their feeder club from Austria and Celtic? Or the runaway champions from the past 10 years or so getting absolutely bummed at home in the last 16 of the CL?

This is kind of my point tho. He wasnt considered good enough to play hardly any premier league matches, yet he will go there and be one of the better players for the 3rd best team in the league

Arsenal are not crap though, it shows the strength of the Premier League that the 5th and 6th placed teams would still usually do well in Europe

You ignored the blatant point about consistently having teams in the knockout stages of competitions which shows the quality of league, especially compared to many other leagues that can’t even produce one team capable of passing the group stages, and again it is a top 5 league in the world (unless you can name 5 better)

He didn’t play here because of mismanagement (or possibly attitude), talent wise he could easily start almost every match
