Ademola Lookman

What it means is he'd rather play for Leipzig than Everton and was pushing to move there permanently the year before we sold him.

Gueye got his head down when he didn't get his move and that's why he got played in the team before we sold him. Lookman was never bother about Everton and arguably wasn't even contributing when the opportunities came his way.

Now he's getting bombed out of Leipzig. End of story.
A better team doesn't want a player so he wasn't good enough for us is not sound logic.

The manger sees them in training all week. Carlo has seen Gordon doing it in training. so he gets his chance. I would have liked to have seen more of Lookman but really he must not have been impressing in training.

I don’t no with are previous managers because they wasn’t great. I like to think if you perform better all week in training than who you are in competition for a place with you will get your start.
Fwiw, this is exactly what people were telling me during the lockdown when I said Gordon should play over Bernard and it has taken two starts for him to be at least as useful.

I don't know how good Lookman would have been but I do know how average Bernard is and that's why it will never not frustrate me that we just gave up on one so the other could play week in and week out.

He started the next 3 or 4 after that as well as the one directly before it so what on earth is your point? That he stunk the place out for all but one game of a season?
My point is that he got a chance, played well enough, got dropped after the disaster at Millwall and unlike every other player who also crapped the bed was banished forever. He was told he couldn't make a move because he was a part of the squad that was needed and then was never needed. It was crap management. And that the management preferred a player that some American dummy like myself could see was never ever going to be up to standard instead is still to this day frustrating to me.

Exactly what Fulham need tbf, a player that will do OK in the prem but most importantly will do well in the championship next season.

No issue with him, me. Wanted to better himself, had ambition, not an Evertonian. Fair do’s to him

Hes simply not a footballer. Bet he's boss at 5 a side but tactically and positionally hes awful and if Leipzig have given up then the writings on the wall. I can't imagine we will be seeing much of the lad turn out for Fulham, in a relegation threatened team I can't see him being trusted.

Weird, and probably desperate, signing.

Hang on a moment....I thought we were told that he was just cruelly overlooked and we were going to sit back and cringe at his elevation to superstardom?

:bye:
