How do we look dumb for holding a grudge against this rat who messed us about and cost us 10 million quid after we gave him his career?

Every club in football would despise a player who cost them 10 million pound just to enrich themselves at the expense of the club.

If you think people despise him because he left for Chelsea and not the manner in which he did it then you don't understand what the issue people have with him is.
In football that's a forgivable amount. I was mad when it happened but it's been what 4 years? Ross was a fun (and frustrating) player and that's what I remember now. I just don't get being so mad still, I mean James Rodriguez plays for us now. I hope he does well at Villa and I hope Lookman (as I'm realizing this is the wrong thread) also does well at Fulham.

Why should anyone forgive him? He's never come out and apologized for it, he lasered off his everton tats and hasn't said a nice word about his since he essentially robbed the club of 10 million pound and spent another 4 months sucking wages out of the club.

Maybe, maybe, if he had shown an ounce of contrition I could find some way to respect him but he hasnt and I don't and I wish nothing but a terrible career for the lad.

There's no good reason for any blue to think of him fondly anymore. Criticizing people as small minded for not excusing his horrible behavior towards the club is a joke.

Look man is a different case entirely. I dont wish him the same ill will i wish Ross I just find it funny it went tits up for him after he tried to force a move away from us.

Yeah man as I said the whole thing is pretty insecure. Move on.

In a way, him scoring that goal against City probably ruined his career. Thought he was better than he was when at the club.

It's not insecure at all to have the hump with a player. It isn't set in stone that we must support all our players after they have buggered off you know. I think most of us would have been fine if he left when he was supposed to, he pulled out of the deal then had an op and sat on his arse getting paid for nothing and then going for a heavily reduced fee.

Now I haven't got the energy to particularly wish ill on the bloke, but nor have I any desire to wish him well. So what is happening now is something I can have a giggle about, as we all could see this happening a mile off. You can point to him winning stuff there (or at least being being attached to a club that won stuff) but no one can claim his time at Chelsea has been a roaring success.

Ex-Wisdom, as I nick-name Lookman (see below for etymology) apparently suffered from terrible homesickness. I, personally, have only indirectly suffered the debilitations of this affliction...thank you Ross Pottinger for ruining my camping holiday by constantly blubbering like a big girl's blouse...but increased sensitivities and empathies toward others, (as I have aged), lends me a little more accommodation of homesickness' impact on some people and hence I cut Ex-Wisdom some slack. (as a side-note, I believe Keane also suffered homesickness...and his ma sent him his mattress from his old Burnley bedroom which seemed to work)

Ex Wisdom?...from 'ad a molar

Saw some stuff from the match today. He had a few decent moments. He's been there a day and they're already giving him 45 minutes so maybe that is a sign that he's finally going to get a run. The talent still exists.

He was actually in line to start the first RBL cup game and get game time in the opening league game too but he told the manager he wanted to leave so got dropped. Got zero ability to stick rough patches out it seems.

He really is an absolute bell end. Imagine wanting a character like that anywhere near your club.

He started 2 Champions League matches the entire time he was at Chelsea and played 3 total. He will be going down as a Champions League legend I'm sure alongside Milan Baros and Djimi Traore.

He got a Europa League and an FA cup medal sitting on the bench for them. Fair played.

I'm sure he thinks it was worth turning his back on his boyhood club and guaranteeing that he will get abuse any time he shows his face in town.

This is the beginning of a rapid decline for him and I couldn't be happier to watch it happen.
Bet the death threats stopping was a weight off his shoulders though.
I’m pretty sure that was a big factor
