The hatred some Everton fans have for this lad is proper weird.

Some truly world class players have missed panenkas. You're acting like he's fingered Parker's missus.

It was in the 98th minute to rescue an important point... pretty hilarious even if you don’t mind him

Ive got nothing against the lad, he's looked quite dangerous at Fulham.

You all know that he will have the game of his life against us and be the match winning hero

It's not hatred, just a lot of Evertonians completely lost patience with this lad over his attitude and are smiling to ourselves over the fact we've been proven right to wash our hands of him.

There is a cracking player in there if he were willing to work for it and play for the team rather than just for himself. He spent his final 12 months here sulking and looking totally disinterested. Then he finally got his move back to Germany and did diddly squat there either. Now he's back in Premier League playing for Fulham where there are no excuses like homesickness, doesn't get chances, fans aren't patience enough, etc, and he goes and does what he did. Shows he's learnt absolutely nothing these past few years.

Parker would be well within his rights to send the lad to train with the u-23s to send a message.

Weird thing to smile about really. The lad was what, 21 when he played for us ? Heaven forbid he makes mistakes at that age.

And he missed a penalty. Big deal. I’d still have him here over half our bench.

I agree that being so close to his Mum now, the homesickness that afflicted him so badly on Merseyside should have attenuated. However, as Snail Keane showed, homesickness is a tricky customer to pigeon-hole. Snail only moved to us from Burnley and yet he was crippled by missing home a few miles away. This is why I cut Crab (Iwobi) and Unwilling (Kean) a bit of slack. Snail was lucky in having an 'onto it' Ma, who sent him his old crusty teenage mattress. Perhaps Crab and Unwilling have mums who are not so attuned to their sons sensitivities and sensibilities.
Anyway, whatever the reasons...it's a rum do!

All nighter mate?

I do not talk about this very often but, a long time ago (I was about 10) I went off on a camping trip in Ngruawahia. I went with a then-mate, a kid called Ross Pottinger (Potty was his nickname). Anyway, long story short, Potty blubbered the whole trip with pining for home. His homesickness was a dreadful thing and it affected me in that I became aware of it very early in life and it, as a mental pathology, the affliction has interested me ever since. So of course, the very high incidence of it at Finch Farm piques my interest.
And you sound as though you share common interest in it. Good on you! The more Evertonians who climb aboard Finch Farm's proposed 'Combat Homesickness!' campaign train, the better!!
