Dafudge you on? Lookman is massiively overrated for me. DCL is massively underrated.
I stand by that. It's weird behavior.
We both have different opinions of a player, yet you complain about me not rating DCL as highly as you and accusing me of “Utter speculative railing of one player based on little evidence while deifying another based on hope.” which is exactly what you’re doing!!!! AND I haven’t even mentioned Lookman, I was critical of DCL whilst NOT deifying another player whatsoever.
If I were a manager of a different club and could sign either Lookman or DCL , I would sign DCL.
I have reservations about Lookman and not being prepared to stay at his club and fight for a place is one of them.
He may become a great player but he may also become a McGeady.

What? Gylfi should start a 100% of our matches in the middle. Playing our 45m playmaker as a CM to compensate for putting a winger more central is madness. Play Lookman on the flanks, and Gylfi center, or absolute worst case, wide left. There is no reason to move good players from their natural positions just to play Lookman. He’s done nothing for us to prove worthy of even starting games, and now we’re changing the team setup just for him?
Again, this is madness!

Odd one this. On one hand I have sympathy for him as he came into the team, on the back of a good season at Charlton, was playing well for England under 20/21s and then he's largely ignored by Koeman and Allardyce.
On the other hand, he has really not shown any indication that he deserves a starting place, seems to constantly have a cloud over him in respect of agitating for a move.
At 20/21 he should be working hard to nail down a place, especially given the transition into a new set up and obvious willingness to invest in youth. The sensible thing for him is to work hard and grab a place in the team. There's no better stage than the EPL to show your ability.
If he is prepared to stay, we have to give him some chances to impress without expecting him to be an instant world beater as a 10 minute sub. If he's not happy to fight for his place then we should get rid as he's not what we need.
