Saying all that If Leipzig give us something like 40m if all add on stipulations are met then let him go if he's unhappy. He's a great young player with potential but I doubt he's that far advanced that Brands wouldn't know of any direct replacements and he might be thinking we could get an amazing fee for Lookman and buy someone like Steven Bergwijn for a tiny fraction of what we'd receive.

Er... why would you take what the DoF of Leipzig is saying as being true but the fact that our DoF has said Lookman will be part of the first team next year is just ignored.

Ragnick could very well mean, Lookman was interested in joining Leipzig permanently when the topic was broached with him during the season. Who knows - but I certainly won't take what staff at another club (who want one of our players) at face value.
 

He is the sort of player we should be building a team with. I see bright everton futures for lookman, davies, dowell, holgate, Kenny and dcl and baningime.

Def won’t sell unless brands sees that he really doesn’t want to be here and can give his spot to someone more deserving.

...10% of any transfer fee would be waived if he did. It’s all supposition, but the reality might be that Lookman told RBL that he was open to the move. It’s understandable given the euphoria of his success over there. Lookman comes into training on a high the day after scoring a couple of goals and everything is rosy.
 

He seems a shy lad to me. I bet he only wants to go because he doesn’t speak German and so can’t talk to anyone. They should just take him out on the piss to bring him out of his shell a bit. That said if he wants to go then let him.

If he was willing to go toe to toe with bfs on a loan move if he really wanted to go to Leipzig after being assured game time here he would've had no problem putting in a request as I'm sure whatever loyalty bonus he'd be rescinding wouldn't be much.

He's still their DoF.

He's just returned as their manager for this year as they wait for Nagelsmann to take over.
