They are expensive mistakes.



Cant see his pace and he's looked very ordinary since arriving. Might have a trick or two but I dont see that being enough.

Stekelenburg, who is crap, was free, not sure how that can be classed as an expensive mistake, besides, Lookman cost less then we had to "pay off" the previous stain of a manager, lads already looking like a bargain

That stain of a manager gave us our summer transfer spending money with the talent he signed...as well as a record points total....of course.

I dread to think the utter worthless tat we'll be left trying to get cash for from this spending frenzy by your Dutch lad in years to come.

I'm using the same logic that dictates a more or less free transfer goalie and a similar right back cover who has played 4 games are "expensive mistakes", i.e no logic at all!!

...Lookman has got something about him but he is certainly work in progress. I imagine the coaches will be doubling his 'possession sessions' in training because he does give the ball away in tight situations. Makes you appreciate just how good Baines is.

..watching him in the World Cup winning team he has that rare ability to just go past people. It's only one aspect of the game but he has it. We know he can belt a ball off either foot but most of them seem to go down the keepers throat. He's got a top flight skill set but it's whether he can apply it week in and week out to positively impact games.

Mistake?He's twenty years of age you can't expect consistently good performances yet.He has plenty of potential and yes areas he needs to work on but cut him some slack. He has something we currently lack, pace and skill.
