Sam says he has a consistency problem? Give me a break. At least he played well enough at times to have a consistency problem. Most of the squad have just been consistently bad yet continue getting time.
Not sure that validates that it was a good decision to not give him more minutes.
Being on the side of Sam, Koeman, or Unsworth is not really the best company to keep.
He's never starting ahead of Bruma or Sabitzer, never ever.
But with them having EL games maybe they'll be rested for "easier" league games and he'll get a start.

Yes Bruma, i cant see Lookman replacing him. And if Forsberg does recover then that task instantly gets a lot harder, but as you mentioned it doesnt look good him at the moment.

Is it a well run club like a lot of Bundesliga teams are ? Maybe with good facilities and a playing style that suits him? In the championship maybe he’s going to get that old fashioned judgement - “oh he’s small so he can’t make it as a top player”

he'd likely start on the bench today, but I think their plan is to have him as a direct replacment for Bruma, so if he isn't effective in a game, or they want to sit him out, Lookman is next in line. When Bruma gets subbed off, up to now their options to replace him have involved using midfielders. Now they have a more natural option available.
Big game for Leipzig today away in Gladbach, a team they are battling with for them CL places.
