Ads with Audio

Noticed a few of these popped up recently, the most recent being today's "my heirloom collection, mixing vintage inspired designs" nonsense that pops up after both the first post on the page and at the bottom. Audio is enabled by default on them, and because two show up just lightly apart of loading time with each other, the annoying audio message is compounded by it playing at the same time a couple of seconds out of sync.

I know the site relies on this income from ads but I think audio-enabled ads are likely to turn a lot of people off/back to ad blocker.

This has happened twice today so far, I think it was a different ad last time, anyway not sure if its my side or yours.

There's not many things I hate more. Especially at work when you pop onto to an Everton article somewhere, and it starts booming out and you have no idea where it's coming from because they hide them a lot of times.

Its done it only once since my post, im chrome 10 yes.

iOS and Chrome. Although since moaning about it, it hasn't occurred.

Recurrence of the issue noted above - Windows 10, Chrome (I'm USA based, though)

Really weird bug I'm experiencing at the moment @GrandOldTeam on my phone which uses chrome.

On some threads there are video ads at the foot of the page. If I scroll down so that it comes in view, I can't scroll away from it. When I attempt to, the page reverts back to the video immediately.

I have to close chrome altogether and start again.

Not a huge issue of course but just a bit annoying.
