Ads with Audio

Noticed a few of these popped up recently, the most recent being today's "my heirloom collection, mixing vintage inspired designs" nonsense that pops up after both the first post on the page and at the bottom. Audio is enabled by default on them, and because two show up just lightly apart of loading time with each other, the annoying audio message is compounded by it playing at the same time a couple of seconds out of sync.

I know the site relies on this income from ads but I think audio-enabled ads are likely to turn a lot of people off/back to ad blocker.

Unforgivable, I don't want them on here either mate.

We have the settings to not allow them, but a few sneak through - we're reliant on the advertiser not taking the piss really. If you can screen grab any adverts that make any noise, it'll help as we can then block them

Okay mate, here's the one that keeps popping up (and it is playing right now, argh!). I think it is from Macy's, so may be US only:

There are also some that have the audio defaulted to off, but it still mutes whatever music you have playing at the time on mobile. Not to mention the data drain of autoplaying the video.

Current one is for something called "SessMe" but I can't click on it to give you a link.

@GrandOldTeam I didn't want to make a separate topic but occasionally I get ads from Vlaams Belang (Sort of like Belgian Ukip, with slogans against Muslims; Immigrants back to their home countries etc - friends with Stormfront also).

Need screenshots/URLs otherwise sod all I can do.

We restrict categories/types of adverts, but at the mercy of what the advertiser describes their advert to Google. Unless we can see the ad and/or URL, we can't ban it.

Aren't ads targeted to your search history?

I think it's more directed at Belgian users. The add says why vote for a traditional party when you can vote for us. They want to make you aware about how immigrants/Walloons supposedly steal your money. Ironically the first time I had it was when reading the Trump thread.
