Lads, scroll back on here to half time.

We were all making subs and preparing for Tuesday !!

Maybe we just got a bit cocky ?

Lads, I'm ashamed to admit it but I celebrated when we scored our third goal. I'd like to take this oppurtunity to accept full responsibility for Bournemouth's equaliser and beg for GOT's forgiveness.

The defence goes to sleep far too easy and gives away a lot of space

It's a regular thing as well, so just marking it down to player errors misses the mark I feel

I don't know if it's the training, the tactics or both but we keep making these mistakes

I really feel Martinez needs to get someone else in to handle all the defending, the same way some NFL teams have a dedicated defensive coach

I dunno mate. I couldn't organise a defence to save my life but then it's not my job I guess. It is his.

I don't think it's all the manager though. Players have to take some responsibility too.

'Result Must Strengthen Desire'

Roberto Martinez insists his Everton players must learn from conceding late on against Bournemouth.

The Blues looked like they had snatched a dramatic victory at Dean Court when Ross Barkley fired home from inside the box.

But Junior Stanislas headed past Tim Howard in the final seconds to claim a point for the Cherries.

Martinez, while disappointed, admitted the result must serve as a lesson for his players.

“The first goal that they scored is a world class finish,” he reflected. “But it could have hit the post and gone anywhere. Then the cross for the third goal is a hopeful one and the finish is a disappointing one for us. But it came from momentum and throwing bodies forward.

“Unfortunately we couldn’t defend that action. Overall, to start in the manner that we did, getting the two goals, then the reaction to them coming back at 2-2, means it is very tough to not take the three points.

“This needs to get us more determined and have a stronger desire to win games in the Premier League.”

The Blues boss added that his side should have come away with all three points, after going ahead throughRamiro Funes Mori and Romelu Lukaku, and then again via Barkley’s late strike.

“Take nothing away from Bournemouth, they got themselves back in it,” continued Martinez. “But that is when you get tested and you find out whether you have that winning mentality. To get that third goal was a big moment in the game.

“But straight after, we start the play with an extra defender, and all we need to do is see the game out.

“It’s a hopeful ball into the box and suddenly it is in the back of the net. That’s what happens in football. Bournemouth got that little bit of luck.

“From our point of view, we felt that we lost two points at two stages in the game. That is a feeling that is difficult to explain.”

Credit to Bournemouth...They were outclassed but came out and gave it a real go in the second half, and got into our heads. Good motivation by their manager. Another lesson learned by our potentially superb tean...its never won till the final whistle, you don't get anything for winning at half time. We still look good and some of the first half football was superb according to SSN. Second highest scorers in the league?

Some of the football was V.good - I wouldn't say it was 'superb' , like.

But 2nd half.....It smacked of the nazi invasion of Russia. Did everything right, thought we'd done more than enough, and left ourselves thinking the untermensch wern't capable of mustering owt.

We were far too casual, far too dismissive - even when they scored their first - not enough urgency, not enough will. bournemouth might be bottom three material, but they're in the top flight for a reason.

What a very strange way of analysing a football match.
