Aiden McGeady

This is what annoys me.

Great goal last night and Aiden is righteously being lauded on here today.

Yet he scored a goal of equal brilliance at Leicester and was still targeted by the boo boys in this parish.

I think McGeady has done better for EFC thus far than many of us, myself included, thought he might and IMO there is more to come as he gets fitter.

I have a feeling Aiden McGeady will wind up winning hearts and minds on GOT, just as Naisy has ;)

McGeady was applauded back into the away dressing room after conducting a series of interviews following the final whistle, and admitted he did not know what to do with himself.

He said: “I’d been doing a few interviews outside while the manager was talking to the team about the game. I was a bit awkward when it happened, I didn’t know how to react really. It was nice.”

Asked about his decisive strike, McGeady said: “The second goal was all about concentrating on my touch. I had my back to the goal, I just thought I’d try something. It came off for me.“It doesn’t happen very often for me, but thankfully it went in.”

I like him, but i can't help but think " Flat track bully " at times with him.
Wouldn't mind having a flat track bully in the squad.

We have players like Mirallas/Naismith/Barkley who seem to really shine in the big games but what often makes the difference league position is how you fare against the smaller teams, it is how Arsenal ended up in 4th rather than us last year despite Everton having a much better record against the top 6.

It's so easy for the 'naysayers' to avoid the brilliance of this goal (and his goal in week 1)...naysayers can sniff it

Aidinho is boss...that finish vs Leicester...wrong footed like...sublime. End of. Messi or Ronaldo doing the same...scenes.

It'd be all over the world people jizzing left right and centre. Doubt Geads will make the ESPN countdown like the other two or Zlatan undoubtedly would

Think it's important to have a flat track bully in every squad! Especially these days in the league.

Great goal the other night.

Spot on. There are 42 points available from the top 7 teams and 78 available from the rest and let's face it, there isn't a single team who finished 8th or lower last season that we can't beat home and away.
